Copyright & DMCA Policy

FontPreview lets customers upload fonts and show rendered previews of them. We respect intellectual property and require customers to upload only fonts they are licensed to use. We respond to notices of alleged infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512), India's Copyright Act 1957 and Information Technology Act 2000, and similar laws.
1. Designated agent
Send copyright notices to our designated agent:
- Copyright Agent
- Infilimits Technologies Private Limited
- India
- Email: [email protected]
2. Filing a takedown notice
Your notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work (the font) you claim is infringed.
- Identification of the infringing material and enough information for us to locate it, such as the URL of the web page showing the preview, or the render or widget URL.
- Your name, address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing may make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
3. What we do
On receiving a valid notice we will promptly disable the identified font so it can no longer be rendered, notify the customer who uploaded it, and forward them a copy of the notice (with your contact details, as the law contemplates).
4. Counter-notice
If you believe a font was removed by mistake or misidentification, send our agent a counter-notice including:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the font that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the U.S., any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
We will forward the counter-notice to the complainant. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the font within 10 to 14 business days.
5. Repeat infringers
We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of customers who are repeat infringers. As a rule, an account that is the subject of more than two valid, uncontested notices in a 12-month period will be terminated.
6. Other reports
For trademark issues, licence-term disputes or other abuse, email [email protected].
